I’m the original owner and it has never left my smoke-free studio and has minimal hours of playing time on it. Guitars are like works of art to me and I need to pare down the arsenal, as I don’t play too often anymore. Essentially, it’s in EXCELLENT condition with the exception of some pick swirls and light, micro surface scratches which you can buff out and some tarnishing on the tuners which can easily be cleaned. NO nicks, dents, gouges, etc! I’ve owned an early 90’s 335 in the past and this neck is very similar to a slim-tapered, early 60’s neck profile. Very comfortable, easy to play and get around the neck, especially for medium-sized hands. Much of my recording and gigging over the years was done on a 335 which is an extremely versatile guitar able to cover many genres. The guitar was made in the Nashville Plant on 10/9/08 and is number 704. The packing list and certificate of authenticity is included along with the original hard shell case. My understanding is that this special color run (“Beale Street Blue”) commemorated the opening of the new Gibson plant in Memphis and in honor of the Beale Street Blues Boy, B. The pics here don’t do it justice and I apologize for the quality and lighting (I see a couple specs and hair on the guitar near the end pin photo from the carpet). I can tell you that it has a super cool flamey finish and has a sweet, resonating tone about it. Everyone should have a 335 in their collection and I prefer it over Les Pauls any day of the week. It was my “go to” guitar in the early’90’s and is effortless to play, set up with 10’s. You won’t be disappointed! Please see my other auctions. Correction: this is a 2008.
