Complimented by two Lollar Soap Bar P90 pickups for a tone that shows off the amazing harmonic range and dynamics of this often underrated configuration. Gently used with some swirls, pin head dings, and tiny scratches, but beautiful nonetheless. The impressive specs are below. The unique characteristic of THIS guitar is its neck. It is among the chunkiest I’ve played! Collings’ lauds the easy playability of their necks, and that may well be, but my hands are small (ok, not so small as he-who-shall-not-be-named), so this one is not for me. But I know there are those among you who are searching for just this thing – A workingman’s neck on a workingman’s guitar! I measured many of these dimensions with high res calipers, and my measurements differ somewhat from Collings stated specs. It’s possible I’m not holding my mouth right or something, but I think these necks are hand made and this one just turned out bigger than most. I’ll add a few better pics soon.
