This is the best sounding and best looking acoustic guitar I’ve owned. It has abalone inlays and. Beautiful bear claw sitka spruce top and flamed/spalted maple back and side. The pickguard is a piece of art. It has a big open warm sound you usually associated with J200. It has great sustain and due to the ebony board, it has great note definition. Because of the maple back and side – which I’ve always preferred on a j200, it’s great for recording. The playability is great. Straight neck, great intonation. The guitar is currently set up by the renowned Noll Guitars in RI with factory action – I would call it a medium low action – with Gibson j200 strings on it. The guitar is mint 9.5 condition. Always stored in its case in a humidity and temperature controlled home studio. A small mark on the bottom of the top… Probably did not go through the finish into the wood – but I can’t guarantee, It’s barely noticeable and I have to play with the camera to find an angle to capture it. This is a great and rare limited run guitar with the best craftsmanship from Gibson. The neck and fretwork is a piece of art. I bought it in 2012. The guitar sounds better each day since and now it has fully opened up. I bought too many guitars when I was a serious musician, but now the amount of playing can no longer justify owning these many axes.
