Vintage Fender Telecaster Custom – 1976 Rare – Outstanding Condition. The beautiful grain of this body cannot be overstated and photos just can’t seem to capture it completely. This original humbucker and original single coil guitar produces unique tones. The heavy solid body supplies classic Tele tone and bite. This guitar was played professionally in the Chicago area. Instrument is in outstanding condition. Frets are in outstanding condition and action is amazing. I have performed for many years with this classic beauty and it holds its tuning like no other guitar… It’s truly a professional instrument. I believe this natural finish is original. When I acquired the guitar the body had been sprayed with blue paint. Luckily, it had no adhesion and was flaking away so I could see the natural finish below. A bit of rubbing alcohol cleared away the loose paint and WOW it looks great… And it had a satin finish with a gorgeous wood grain that you can check out in the photos! 21 frets and black dot position inlays on a maple fretboard with maple neck… 3-Bolt Neck Plate with Micro-Tilt Adjustment. Vintage F Style Tuning Machines. Controls: Volume 1, Volume 2, Tone 1, Tone 2. Case: Hardshell, not original. I see a few faint areas near the cutaway where a bit of blue color remains, also similar discolorations on edges – see photos. A bit of rubbing compound will probably remove them completely. There is a small ding in the finish on back lower left – see photo – and very light chipping on top edge near the player – see photo. Guitar stand not included.
