Breaking away from the copies theyd focused on previously, the Artist series saw Ibanezs design and build mentality come into its own. This Artist 2617, which suggests a Les Paul and an SG while departing radically from both. Bound two-piece book-matched top with German carve and abalone purfling. Three-piece rock maple set neck with smooth contoured heel. Bound ebony fretboard with Mother of Pearl/Abalone inlays.
