For your consideration is this awesome 1980 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe husk in heritage cherry sunburst “clownburst” finish. This body neck project is in great vintage condition. The first few frets show some light divoting to be expected from 40 years of playing. Truss rod works just as it should. There is some finish wear on the back as you can see as well as some worming and mild buckle rash. There are some light chips and dings here and there scattered across the body on the back and sides. The top is relatively clean. Back of the neck has a little bit of finish wear around the 5th fret. Like so many others of this era, the original tuners were swapped for Schallers so there are two sets of holes on the back of the headstock. No breaks or repairs. All in all, this husk is pretty clean for being 40 years-old. It has a 3-piece maple top and 3-piece maple neck, but no pancake body. Husk weighs 7 lbs. Fully dressed it will come in around 9-1/2 lbs. Neck measures 43.01 mm at the nut; and 54.40 mm at the 16th fret. It is 21.80 mm at the first fret; and 24.65 mm thick at the 12th fret.
