1987 Gibson Les Paul Custom Showcase Edition 1 Of 200 Made W/case. Are you a Randy Rhoads fan? Then I’ve got the Les Paul for you! This is one of the Showcase additions. Only two hundred were made. The certificate of authenticity will tell you that this was manufactured in the year 1988. But anybody who knows how Gibson serial numbers will tell you that the 1st and 5th digit gets you the year and that would make this a 1987. It is in wonderful condition. I bet somebody slid it under the bed for 20-plus years. It is only slightly starting to Yellow. That is not two different colors on the back, that is the shadow of the lights in my kitchen. There is one small area on the back where there is some slight finish damage but the front looks amazing, the tailpiece with the adjustable strings is Gibson, there is a break in one of the humbucker Rings but I’ve got a new one coming so that will be replaced soon. Guitar appears to be all original, has been set up and all the electronics function just as they should. Comes in the original Gibson chainsaw case. One of the latches is broken and it is missing the gibson logo sticker. Guitar weighs approximately 10 lb 9 oz.
