If you are familiar with the Joe Perry Slash Tobacco Burst 1959 Les Paul then this is almost a reissue of that except in 89 they did not offer a signature back then. This is an all original 1989 Yamano top music hand picked Les Paul Standard reissue. As you know Yamano Music only Hand selected the best woods and tops for their guitars they imported into Japan. Only flaw I can find is inside the lower horn, there is a ding the size of a match stick head. There are some other very tiny flaws around the headstock that are hard for me to describe but look at the photos, they are so minor they are almost impossible to see. Weighs around 9 pounds, I don’t have a great scale but it is definitely under 10 and over 9 when I weigh it. Feels like a 60’s taper neck when compared to current production R9 Les Pauls. This was kept in such good unplayed condition you can see the Yamano Music sticker still on the rear control cavity cover. This has the original PCB Bill Lawrence pickups. The top is a never drilled virgin top and I really don’t understand how you could drill this top. Unfortunately I do not have the original pick guard.
