Scroll down for 55 High Definition images and pictures inside Here’s a 2013 Gibson SG Standard in a pretty clean and original factory Classic White finish. The top and back are glossy and clean. The Gibson 2013 SG Standard electric guitar looks and sounds as devilish as always. Ever since Gibson first released the SG design in 1961, players have appreciated its light, fast playing both onstage and in the studio. The 2013 SG Standard comes with two switchable Gibson’57 Classic pickups onboard, to deliver all the classic tones that have made this instrument a legend. The neck on the Gibson 2013 SG Standard adopts the slim-profile design that emerged in the later 1960s. This makes the neck notably slimmer than the rounded shape found on the 50s-era instruments. Staying true to the original 1961 SG design, nine trapezoidal inlays accent the bound rosewood fretboard. The headstock is finished to match the body. A mother-of-pearl Gibson logo inlaid at the center of the headstock stamps this instrument with a pedigree of peerless quality. Solid Design for Tight Tone. The 24.75-inch-scale mahogany neck is glued in a deep-set, long-tenon neck/body joint with a 17-degree back-angled headstock. The body and neck are balanced to achieve perfect cross-transference of resonance where they meet at the 19th fret, sealed with Franklin Titebond 50 glue — one of the strongest industrial wood glues in the world. A 1-11/16 wide Corian nut completes the equation. This solid neck-to-body jointing and precise alignment is something that you can distinctly feel as you play. 6.7 lbs on a digital scale. Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case as seen in the pictures.
