Scroll down to see 44 more HD images. Here’s a 2016 Music Man John Petrucci JP16 from the Ball Family Reserve in a clean and factory original Black Lava finish. She was born June 15th, 2016 and came from the factory with the black lava finish, a smokey ebony neck and matte black hardware. This guitar is in excellent condition and has just a very slight bit of play wear. There’s some really light scratches by the input jack and a tiny indent or but that’s about it. She weighs in the mid 7’s lbs on a digital scale. The top, back and sides are very clean and glossy– see pic’s. It’s a very solid 9.5 out of 10. She has a fresh detailing, fret polish and fingerboard cleaning and set up with 10/46’s. The trem has been calibrated and action is low. Here’s the spec’s. The JP16 is a combination of the original Music Man John Petrucci signature model and later Ball Family Reserve models. Highlights include a lightweight basswood body with high gloss Black Lava finish and a new Floyd Rose 1000 Pro Floating Tremolo system. This is a USA made Ernie Ball MusicMan Silhouette / Benji Madden Signature model guitar. Limited run and discontinued several years ago these are getting very hard to find. Upgraded with a premium 3-ply white pearloid pickguard and two Seymour Duncan pickups on a 5-way switch that coil splits pickups for humbucker and single-coil options. Custom “Knuckle” inlay at the 12th fret. It’s fitted with a standard MusicMan string-thru bridge of chrome plated, hardened steel with steel saddles. 25-1/2″ scale with 10″ neck radius. 22 high-profile, medium-width frets. The neck wood shows gorgeous wear from play that gives it an excellent vintage vibe while the frets show little wear. The adjustable truss rod requires no component or string removal to adjust, can be easily adjusted at heel with an allen key or slim screwdriver. PLAYS LIKE AN ABSOLUTE DREAM! The 5-bolt neck attachment is perfectly aligned with no shifting. The sculpted neck joint allows smooth access to higher frets. Schaller M6-IND locking tuners deliver rock-solid tuning. In gorgeous metallic green finish. Guitar is in good shape overall but has a few dings that I tried to show in the pictures. Some minor fret wear but plays fantastic. Neck is gun stock oiled and hand rubbed wax finished so it shows some discoloration from use like most guitars with this type neck finish… Has super low action up and down the neck. Truss rod was adjusted and works well with no issues. Light guitar that weighs in at only 6 pounds 12.4 ounces. Comes with heavy duty hard shell case. Seymour Duncan pickups and custom pickguard. Standard MusicMan string-thru bridge made of chrome plated, hardened steel with bent steel saddles. Custom “Knuckle” inlay at 12th fret. 1-5/8 (41.3 cm) wide at nut. 2-1/4 (56.9 cm) at last fret. 2000 Erine Ball EVH, Translucent Gold, Serial number. Just after “THE MAN” dumped Ernie Ball, They named the Guitar AXIS, Same Dimarzio Pickups as the original Signature Guitar, As far as I can see they changed the rear by routing for comfort and the control cavity was. The Quilt tops were still desirable because of the quality! The guitar is all original, and overall in Excellent condition. The Birdseye Maple neck plays, looks and feels so smooth- Oil finished neck feels incredible, as it plays fast, with slinky low action. The neck is slightly different to the original Series but I like it! The locking trem system works fantastic, as you can dive bomb as heavy as you’d like… Coming in at approx. 7.9 lbs, She has some weight to her, Along with the Dimarzio B1 and N1 pickups designed by Eddie this thing screams – Tapping heaven with low action , I have owned 21 Signature series guitars over the years, But only this one AXIS which I kept because it’s soooo close to the real deal- The pickups are super high output, and sound huge! Original DiMarzio B1 and N1 Pickups are So sweet! Excellent +++++ Original condition, I was going to call it NEAR MINT condition but I found a couple small scratches (see pics) I replace the Tone Knob and added chrome tuning key’s to the original Gotoh tuners, whammy bar lock is funky but the bar stays secure, comes with extra spring, Tremolo Bar, New Backplate and screws. The neck feels great and oil finished.. Body: Flamed Maple Top / Basswood Body. Truss rod: Adjusted to perfection. Fret remaining: 98.2%. Hard Shell case (no keys). Music Man Axis, MFG year 2000. Transparent Gold Body and Matching Headstock. Bookmatched Figured Quilt Maple Top. Basswood Body with Cream Binding.
