[90’s discontinued model] Fernandes FGZ-420 Red Flame Electric Guitar Fernandes. This item is FGZ-420, a model produced in the 1990s by Fernandes, a long-established domestic brand. Lightweight basswood body, beautiful quilted maple pattern on the arched top, gold parts including GOTOH pegs, and a luxurious look. Not only is it easy to use, but the sound quality is also very good, and it makes a lot of noise, so when you sit down and pull it, the vibrations are firmly transmitted to your stomach. PU: DS-5 single x 2, VH-5 ham x 1. Number of frets: 22F. Body: There are many small scratches and peeling paint due to age and use, but most of them are small and have been retouched. There are no major fatalities. It is in good condition for a item of this age. The octave and string height have been adjusted, making it easier to play. Remaining rod: There is plenty of room. Frets: Approximately 80% Fingerboard orange oil applied. Electrical system: Sound output approved, no gully. Accessories: Tremolo arm included, no case. Other points to note. Regarding the appearance, there may be some scratches that are not visible in the photos, so we will give priority to the actual product. ORIGINAL TREM ARM IS INCLUDED BUT NOT PICTURED… I forgot USA made’90-’92 era DC… Not sure of the official designation given to these single pup versions, not many around to compare to. Who ordered a Carvin without checking off at least 50% of the options anyway??? Appears to be (see tuners) 100% original and complete and includes the original Carvin case. The case opens completely flat since those fabric hinge thingies have failed. Neck thru design, 24 fret and 24-3/4 scale. 2 small holes added by the lower strap peg, for what I don’t know, and an extra peg has been added at the neck heel. One large finish edge chip between the jack and peg that has been “touched up” and actually blends quite well. Pretty sure the tuners are original though there are some extra holes, but they appear to have been unused? May have been pre-drilled for other tuners prior to assembly or maybe these are replacements, not sure Otherwise, finish is in overall nice shape with various dings scattered about, none that are serious and most are difficult to photograph. Likewise with the frets, original with very light wear. Set up nicely with low action and plays well as it sits here in the Arizona Sonoran Desert, which is likely quite different than your climate, so please plan accordingly. As usual but more likely in this situation, a setup to your personal preference is a possibility. Here is a 2011 Gibson Lefty SG JR in a black gloss finish. The guitar is in great condition. Comes with original Gibson gigbag as shown. A pure, no-frills, genuine SG. The basic, no-nonsense design, SG looks, and P-90 sound combine to produce an axe of subdued good looks and sonic firepower. The new baked maple fingerboard has the tactile feel and response of ebony, but with a very traditional warm, brown finish. It’s extremely stable, fast and smooth. What Is Baked Maple? Aging maple through a baking process called torrefaction. The wood is kept at 200-300º F for a period of time until the wood knows it’ no longer a tree; Moisture is restored under pressure. This makes the wood very hard, sonically live and extremely stable. The snappy sound of ebony, with the look of medium-brown pau ferro. It looks like it didn’t get much playing time. It’s been professionally set up and plays like a dream.
