2012 Fender Telecaster Custom 62 AVRI (American Vintage Reissue) Sea Foam Green

A few people were asking about the guitars weight, so I just weighed the guitar on a postal scale, and it is 7.40lbs, which is 7lbs 6.4oz. What a fantastic playing and sounding Telecaster! Sounds like what you think a Telecaster should sound like. One of the acoustically loudest electric guitars I have ever owned. Everything works great, switches, pots, etc. The only modification that I did was change the 3-way switch from “vintage wiring” (with the muddy neck, regular neck, bridge) to the “modern wiring” (with the option of Neck, Neck + Bridge, Bridge). The “modern wiring” with the Neck + Bridge sound makes up a huge part of that classic Tele sound. The guitar is not in Mint/Brand New condition, please see pictures for the imperfections on the body. I gave it a deep clean, oiled the fretboard, put some 11 gauge strings on it, and it played beauitfilly. I played it on my couch a little, and then brought it to Praise Band one Sunday, but I just couldn’t jive with the Sea Foam Green! So superficial, I know. The guitar has light/average play wear and is in good condition. The top has average type of playwear with some chips along the edge – and the back has some light finish marks. The frets are in good condition and the neck is straight. The neck dates to June of 1988- marked 6-2-8 – June 2nd 1988? The neck plate is serial number V032465. It has the original pickups and pots – and the solder joints are original. The pots date to the 3rd week of 1988. The pictures show everything and it’s a really amazing sounding and super resonant guitar. It weighs 7.4 lbs and has a very comfortable feel. It was set up, adjusted and plays very nicely. All the electronics work well. She comes with the original worn Fender Tweed hardshell case as seen in the pictures. We can declare a low value. The guitar has light/average playwear and is in good condition for a 28 year old Strat. It has the original Fender pickups – and they sound really nice- pots have been changed to CTS 250K. The frets are clean and don’t have any grooves – see pics. The top has some light pick marks, some small chips and a few light indents. The back has some light clear coat scratches and indents- see pics. She weighs 8.1 lbs on a digital scale. The serial number is V053121 and it’s made in the USA. 1984 Fender Stratocaster'57 Reissue American Vintage AVRI FULLERTON with OHSC

1984 Fender Stratocaster’57 American Vintage Reissue, Fullerton era. This is a fantastic player grade Fullerton. A luthier with 40+ years of experience did the following. Repaired the crack in the pickguard (it is not loose). This same luthier recently did the following (December 8, 2018 update). Installed a replacement string tree (he used an old one with era-appropriate patina). Filled the second string tree hole. Removed some shielding around the pickups that a previous owner installed. Installed a more appropriate orange drop capacitor (the previous capacitor was not original). Frets are original and there is minimal wear to the frets. The wear that is visible is at the first few frets. There is some beautiful patina on the edges of the neck; actual play wear from real playing. Notice the two-piece body. Many Fullerton Strats have three piece bodies. This guitar has a nice two piece body with fantastic grain. The finish is glossy and there is minimal checking of the lacquer on the back side of the guitar. This guitar has lived in it’s case in my smoke free home. In 1984 when this guitar was built, a 1957 Stratocaster would have been 26 or 27 years old. This guitar is now 33, almost 34 years old. The necks on this guitar is slim and comfortable. This guitar plays and sounds fantastic, and is currently set up with fairly low action. The original hard shell case is included, along with the stuff that you see. It will be well protected. I’m ready to let this thing go. This is an old update, for reference. UPDATE (November 21, 2018): I have taken the guitar to a luthier to have the shielding around the pickups removed. I will post all-new updated photos as soon as I get the guitar back. Based on feedback that I have received from questions asked, the shielding has been not desirable for many who are interested in this guitar. The shielding was not done by me, and does not impact the sound, in my opinion, but it is being removed. The current photos do not do the finish justice. I will post higher quality photos with better angles. Also, I neglected to include in the photos the original ash tray cover, tremolo arm, backplate cover, and envelope for springs. Early 1982 57 AVRI Fullerton Fender Stratocaster inexcellent condition. All original (2ndowner) guitar. Original duck foot case and all the case candy (except thebridge cover). Pots dateto 6th week of 82. EarlyV001527 neck plate serial number. Hasone rare red bottom and two very rare grey bottom pickups. Also has the plastic wiring. Early 1982 reissues used thin plasticwiring while all other reissues used black and white cloth covered wiring. Overall the guitar is in excellent condition. There is light checkingand a few dings and scratches. There issome buckle rash on the back and 2 areas that have worn through the finish, oneon the bottom and one small area on the back. The guitar recently had aprofessional set up and plays great! These Fullertons have been gaining in value over the last fewyears. This is one of the earliest 82sI have seen in quite a while. Fender’57 American Vintage Reissue Stratocaster – 1957 AVRI – Sunburst. This guitar has some very light surface scratches and a couple very small chips in the nitro lacquer finish but overall it’s still in very good shape. The frets show almost no wear on this one and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck. The back of the neck is smooth with no dings or dents.
