1970 Gibson Les Paul Custom in excellent condition and in perfect working order from sole owner. An exceptional Black Beauty, this Les Paul has a chunky, late 50s-style neck carve and weighs in at a mere 9lbs 11oz. The three-piece mahogany neck has a surprisingly deep C shaped carve, and this shape is typically associated with Les Pauls from 1957-58. This neck has a true “baseball bat” C shape with generous shoulders and plenty of heft. 887″ deep at the first fret and 1.098″ deep at the 12th fret. The original very slender “banjo” fretwire is intact on the ebony fretboard, which also boasts multi-ply binding and pearl block inlays. The frets have been leveled and are in “fretless wonder” territory sitting very low, yet still extremely playable. The frets currently show zero wear and play cleanly in all positions. The original nut measures 1 11/16 in width and the headstock is fitted with genuine vintage waffleback Kluson tuners. These tuners work in their original fashion in that you tune up to the note and they hold pitch well, slackening easily when you tune down. A different set of tuners was once fitted on the headstock, with no additional screw holes and original bushings fitting easily without modification. There are indentations from larger washers around the original tuner bushings. On the back of the headstock, the guitar sports its original serial number and “Made in USA” stamp as well as a volute, consistent with the era of production. The guitar also has a faint “2” stamp, denoting a Factory Second for some small finish flaw that would be indiscernible from honest playwear over the past nearly five decades. The “pancake” (two-piece) mahogany body is capped by a piece of maple that has a nice deep dish carve. There is consistent flame figuring across the entire top, visible under certain lighting through the thin Ebony nitro lacquer finish. The electronics consist of original patent sticker T Top humbuckers with original covers that show untouched solder and intact stickers on the baseplates. The hardware consists of an original patent number gold ABR-1 bridge and vintage, yet not stock gold stopbar tailpiece. The witch hat knobs and switch ring are original, while the truss rod cover, three-way toggle switch cover, and pickguard are modern, factory-spec replacements created and aged by MojoAxe to perfectly match the patina of the instrument. In terms of cosmetic wear, the guitar show moderate vertical lacquer checking on the body, and the 100% original nitro lacquer Ebony finish lights uniformly under a blacklight (a common way to verify a finish’s originality) with no touchup or overspray. There is heavy buckle rash on the back, an assortment of pinhead sized nicks on the body, and one small finish chip in the multi-ply binding on the bass side edge of the headstock. The neck profile is extremely clean with only a couple of the faintest indentations, and the guitar is structurally sound with zero repairs, cracks, or things of that nature. For sale is a 1971 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty with a non-original case. This guitar is in very good condition and in perfect working order. There are some scratches, dings, finish checking, wear on the back and extra holes from where some non-original tuners where installed(currently has originals back on). Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 7.5 out of 10. With exception to the frets and nut, everything on the guitar is original. There are no cracks, repairs, or issues. The neck is straight with no issues and plays great. The non-original frets are in excellent condition with no wear. The non-original case has some wear but works great. Telecaster Classic Vibe 50s Squier – A Beauty. This is my beloved Squier – 50s – classic vibe tele which i used as my main guitar for a long while, its been all over the UK and Europe and served me so well. It sounds excellent and holds up against fenders all day long i worked in a guitar shop for a decade and i’ve played thousands! And looks the part as well. Condition wise you can see it has some actual’road worn’ areas, for me gives it character but if you’re someone that religiously polishes their guitars and keeps them pristine, besides being a weirdo, this guitar isn’t for you! Though besides the wear along the base its fine and has been in a hard case its whole life. It also has different Vol/Tone Knobs which are very cheap to replace if you’re bothered by that! Here are the official specs and blurb. The Classic Vibe is back in full vintage force. Squier have kitted the Tele out with cool retro features aligned with the hardware, woods and specs used to build the first Fender guitars. Telecasters have always had an old school feel, but the Classic Vibe takes things to the next level. The black pickguard, ashtray bridge and plenty more pay homage to the 50s design. As youd expect from a classically styled guitar, the Squier Tele opts for a Pine body with comfortable Maple neck and tall narrow frets. Theres nothing better than a guitar that feels familiar as soon as its in your hands. This is where the Squier comes into its own. This Tele is equipped with Fender designed single coil pickups, pushing a low output smooth tone. It has plenty of grit when you crank the gain and a naturally nasal, twangy tone. Whats a 50s Tele without an ashtray bridge? The three-saddle construction is a true vintage appointment. In’my opinion’ 3 saddles are rubbish but if you’re after that specifically then this won’t be the guitar for you! 1990 Gibson Les Paul Custom. Here is a genuine American made Gibson Les Paul Custom. The serial number dates it to February 1990. It has the PAF sticker pickups and the pots date to late 1989 and early 1990. The nut is 1.68″ wide, it measures 0.82″ thick at the 1st fret and 0.97 thick at the 12th fret. Actual weight is 10 lbs 9 oz. It has seen quite a bit of use, but the body is still in very good condition overall. There are small dings, scratches and a dull area up where your arm rests, but nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage used guitar. No cracks, modifications or structural issues. The neck is straight and the frets show average wear. It’s in excellent playing condition with no major issues. The fretboard is clean, but there is a hairline crack in the ebony from frets 13-16. I took it to my repair guy and he said the fretboard is solid and should not cause any problems in the future. The back of the neck has a few small impressions. The headstock has minor dings around the edges and a chip on the corner, but no cracks, repairs or extra holes. The hardware and electronics are original and in excellent working condition. The gold hardware has some wear and pitting, but nothing out of the ordinary. It comes with the original case which has some general wear on the outside. The locking latch is broken, but all of the other latches, hinges and handle are in excellent working order and the interior has no bad odors. Please note that I do not set up my guitars before mailing. I have played it and everything is great as far as I’m concerned, but you may need to change the strings, adjust the action or do other maintenece to get it to your preferences. There will be no exceptions to this! It may take several hours to package your items and send the combined invoice, so please be patient. You can also wait for me to package the guitar and send an invoice before you pay if you wish.
