Operation has been checked. The sound through the amp is fine, with no Noise from poor contact with jack or other. The frets are at their lowest, 65% on the first and third strings at the first and third frets, and 70. 80% on the rest of the strings. The neck has been adjusted to be straight or slightly forward warped. Please note that this. The truss rod was turned about 60° clockwise during the adjustment, but it is quite stiff. Truss rod can be turned left and right, but it requires a lot of force. String height is about 2mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret and 1.5mm on the 1st string. There is dullness in the metal parts. As you can see in the photo, there are small dents and rubbing. Tiny scuffs from normal use. It shows signs of use. Functional It works properly. Speedster Traveler Guitar Candy Apple Red w/gig bag. The gig bag measures 30″ x 10″. It does have a strap. The guitar measures 28 inches from the center to the top and there is a detachable piece and if you include that the witch would be 10 1/2 inches. From, the guitar when it is attached to the top is approximate 32 inches. The neck has beautiful circles of mother pearl. The guitar on the front says traveler guitar speedster. The back of the guitar includes a serial number of S233799. There is also a booklet that comes with it with the tuning knob as seen in the bag. The guitar does have some chips and a few scratches, the metal will need polishing up, and this does not affect the quality of the sound. The gig bag does have a small tear in the widest spot at the bottom, there is also some fraying of the gig bag strings by the zipper near the top. The guitar does come apart, and the smaller piece fits in the zippered pouch on the gig bag as seen in the photo. Please look through the photos to see this tear. Beautiful 1963 Fender Stratocaster in extraordinarily clean condition with nice’63 fatter neck. Finish – both neck and body are original and in fantastic condition with slight lacquer checking and some playwear on the neck. Decal is particularly well preserved. Electronics – pickups, pots, capacitor, 3-way switch and majority of the wiring and solder joints (see below for further details). DC resistance is: Bridge – 5.78, Middle – 6.08, Neck – 5.60. Hardware – neck plate, tremolo block, bridge, saddles (super clean and seemingly always played with included bridge cover), tremolo arm, single line Kluson tuners, string tree, jack socket, strap buttons and (I would be prepared to bet) every screw. Frets – recent professional vintage correct refret by Huw Price (see video of this exact job by searching Youtube for the’Tone Twins TV’ channel). Original frets in case. Finger board had some small divots in the cowboy positions which have been professionally filled (see video mentioned above). Pickguard – Lashing celluloid guard (lightly aged to match original) on the guitar, original in excellent condition with Jag switch is in the case and can be used (see pics) – has shrunk slightly as is common. 4 x short lengths of cloth wire – required when removing the Jaguar switch wiring (the originals were presumably discarded when the switch was added). Neck date: September 1963. Body date: November 1963. Pot dates: 47th week of 1963. Neck dowel holes: present. Selmer guitar case and strap, serial numbered Fender instruction booklet, 60s wiring diagram (showing original wiring before the switch was installed – this was followed to put it back to stock), original pickguard and Jaguar switch assembly, removed original frets. The guitar has had one owner from new (two if you include me) and is in beautiful condition. In the late 60s, the original owner has a Jaguar switch installed. This required a routing in the body, aluminium shield and pickguard. Being a purist, I removed the switch, fitted an aged Lashing celluloid pickguard, block-filled the body route and repaired the aluminium shield. If you wanted to put the Jag switch in you could – its all in the case! Very clean vintage guitar – small area of play wear on the upper horn, small amount of play wear on the back of the neck, otherwise in excellent original condition. Has had a recent professional refret which included some filling of fingerboard divots. I could also potentially deliver depending on distances.
