It has a straight neck, low action and a classic strat tone. The bound neck is obviously rare in the Stratocaster kingdom and it feels deluxe. 1962 Fender Stratocaster Guitar Lake Placid Blue Refin with OHSC – Vintage. Up for sale is our 1962 Fender Stratocaster refin from our personal studio collection. Refinished sometime in the 70s (according to the previous owner), this Lake Placid Blue has faded to show hues of Silver/Purple in certain lights. The body color is pure vibe, looks great and has all the original parts i. E all screws, tuners, neck plate, saddle, pickguard, pickups, and electronics. Aside from the backplate which is non-original. The neck is super fast, slim-taper with a beautiful veneer board and a pro refret to medium size frets. Although done some time ago, the frets have plenty of life left in them. As mentioned before, this guitar was in the private collection of our recording studio and it has been used on countless recordings. We loved using this guitar whenever we needed the iconic vintage strat sound. This guitar has got all the mojo you would come to expect from a vintage Fender Strat. The guitar includes its original hardshell case that shows a decent amount of wear but all the latches still work and the handle remains in good shape. The wear is more cosmetic and shows peeling on the leather ends (can be seen in pictures) as well as some markings on all areas of the case. Inside the case compartment is also the original ashtray bridge cover, whammy bar, and original saddle screws which is also included. Nut Width 1.63. 3 Original Fender Single Coil Pickups.
