SUPER MINTY 2004 DEAN BOCA MIK BLACK TREMENDOUS PLAYABILITY AND SOUNDS WithGIGBAG

This Boca guitar has turned into a semi-rare instrument. Early in production, Dean made 6-string model Bocas but left that world quickly and turned the model into a 12 string. This hard to find 6 string version that was only produced 2 years. From the really early production period, this guitar still has the original cat’s eye F-Holes as pictured. Basically a poor man’s ES-339, this Boca comes equipped with dual Dean Humbuckers, a semi hollow woody tone (great for blues), and a very cool gray metallic finish. Subtle in looks, snarls in tone. With their compact semi-hollow bodies, carved tops and sophisticated styling this guitar was genuinely State Of The Art. As a result of the extraordinary semi-hollow design and Dean humbucking pick-ups, the Dean achieves those hard to find rich, bluesy tones and harmonics artists are constantly searching for. This Dean Boca 6 String Semi Hollow Electric Guitar is a used item in excellent condition. There are no dings marks, or issues with this guitar with the exception of one small paint chip on the body edge of the body by the neck heel. You can see it in one of the pictures. From our Consignment client, here is a near mint very beautiful black Dean Boca 6-string model in amazing near mint condition. This Korean made Beauty is in super shape and the Finish is sweet but most importantly, the Frets fretboard and neck are pristine and the dark rosewood fretboard also is sweet. The threat marker dots are done in Abalone instead of the usual Pearl which is a nice touch and the headstock also has a beautiful inlay. She’s a hollow body and the cat’s eye fholes are sweet. But the real story is the versatility of this particular instrument with the two humbuckers set up and a really nice semi hollow body tone. The guitar shows absolutely nominal play where save for a small scratch and a little bit of pixguff but she’s a nice one the bolt on neck is sweet but if you look at the wood grain on the back of this Korean neck it’s sweet as can be and the Grover tuners don’t hurt. The back of the headstock is impressed with the serial number “170860” as well as Made in U. We have not been able to find another example of a vintage Les Paul Custom from this era that has the Super 400 split fret markers, but we can find no signs that the neck has been tampered with, and since it has a set neck I don’t think you could swap it out without it being really obvious. So, a rare custom model? You collectors out there will know better than I, as I’m mostly an antique dealer. That being said, we’ll include as much info as possible and try to give you the most accurate info. We took pictures in natural sunlight to help accurately show all condition issues (which are very few and very minor). It actually looks better when seen in person. Some of the measurements are as follows. Fret Board Length 18.25″, Width at top: 1.75″, at bottom 2.25. Body width at widest point: 13. Body length: 17.25. This guitar is in exceptional condition, even more so considering its age! We would give it a about an 8.5 out of 10. There are no condition issues easily seen, and under close inspection there are about 3 small dings (on the bottom side near output plug and on top side) that crack the finish but not through the paint. The bottom has a little bit of light scratching but very minor. The white edges have begun to yellow with age, but that is to be expected. The finish on the tuning pegs is a bit worn. The pickguard has some very fine scratches that can only be seen when held at an angle in the light. Neck is straight with no fretbuzz when played, and there are no electric issues. The case appears to be original. The Gibson logo has worn off but you can tell were it used to be. Also, the original owners name is on the case but has also faded and is only somewhat visible. The case still functions well and is sturdy. Interior is nice, with just one spot of tearing by the tuning pegs. While we do our best to accurately describe all items and conditions, we are not perfect, and sometimes condition can be a subjective thing. 1982 Gibson 30th Anniversary LP Goldtop! Comes in the Original Gibson Case! Gibson made these in three runs “A, B and C” – this is a VERY early example from the first “A” run ruling off the Kalamazoo plant. All original and complete with every solder joint untouched, 1980 dated pots, coveted Tim Shaw inked pickups – the closest to a vintage PAF in tone! This is the same model that has been extensively used by the Edge of U2 (see the pic below). These were the last guitars produced in the Kalamazoo plant by some of the craftsmen and machinery that produced the originals. This guitar is in PRISTINE cosmetic condition very close to MINT!!! Showing only some age patina on the hardware giving it a killer vintage LOOK. There may be just a couple of light impressions – that’s it! The neck is perfect and has a comfortable profile which feels like a cross between the 50s and 60s necks – very fast and SUPER playable! SWEET action and AMAZING playability!
