These are built by CnC machine for accuract then a lot of hand work to dial them in to play and feel like a well worn in old friend with 0 fret wear though.. Its made to look vintage but play more modern with a 21 fret truss rod adjusts at bottom heel – old school looking ST NECK with a more modern feel and improved plaibility ease of string bending etc with its MEDIUM C profile and a 9.5″ radius Indian rosewood fingerboard, 25.5″ scale length and medium frets this makes fror a great playing neck.. Fret ends are smooth and frets and edges are polished for a great feel. Tuner holes are 8’mm and it does come with an aged nut installed. Classic styling and patina aged finish as seen all 100% nitrocellulose instrument lacquer thin skin the old fashioned hand built hand finished neck with its cool 60’s. Will make a killer neck for your ST style project. New necks should be fit to the body by installer builder should be knowledgeable and experienced we recommendIf your body is accurate to vintage specs this will fit yours like a glove or you may employ shins to fit to others properly this is the responsibility of the builder putting your project together – fitment work. The installer fit it – you may need to sand to fit, set it up on body set it up adjust truss rod accordingly allow acclamation, you may desire to level frets – polish again after set up work has been done, this is standard procedure to get the maximum from your new neck project and is not considered a defect and is not returnable for that luthier installer should have this recommended knowledge for this reason if it was always easy everyone would be a builder it is a profession and often better left for the professionally skilled. This color is a classic fadded yellowish deep ocean Blue pearl shimmer metalliv and all Nitro lacquer finish we have also used the famous old school under coat sealer tinted yellow same as Leo’s boys did back in the day (50s-60’s) these bodys are then thin skin top coated with nitro instrument lacquer and finish allows for woods natural grain to show threw shrunken in to feel the grain just beautiful thin skin shrunkin in for ultimate tone and is custom formulated by JVGuitars. Iv learned from painting cars for decades now since 1970 at 14 and I have painted dozens of custom high end cars trucks and bikes -helmets – guitars – vintage furnature you name it for well over 40 years Iv been a Luthier since 1992. This JBass body is built to std CNC of the original parts can vary in size by a few MM between the body and fitting a neck often it is required of the guitar builder to “fit” the neck to a body and that is done by the assembler at time of building this is nothing new this is why “Mr Leo F ” would sand neck or pocket use shims and so on to fine tune adjust and or fit, this prep work is to be expected and should your neck or body require you the builder to make the final fit this is ordinary and not a defect and is not returnable for such reasons.
