The guitar has lots of play wear with some small scratches, dings, chips and indents. The frets are in good condition and the neck is straight. It had a locking nut at one time – the holes have been filled in. The pots, pickups, pickguard and nut have been changed. The neck plate is serial number 660312 – which dates to 1976. The pictures show everything and it’s a really nice sounding and super resonant guitar. It weighs in the mid- 8’s and has a very comfortable player’s feel. It was set up, adjusted and plays very nicely. All the electronics work well. She comes with the Fender hardshell case as you see in the pictures. Scroll down to see 60+ High Def Images of this guitar! Here’s a 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom in a factory original Gloss Black finish. It has a nearly invisible headstock repair and has about average playwear. The serial number is 386214 and it’s stamped “Made In USA”. The pickups and pots are all original – the pots date to the 37th week of 1974- the orange drop caps look newer. The input jack, knobs and strap buttons are newer – everything else looks original. The top has some scratches, small dings and light scratches- but the finish is 100% all original and unaltered. The back has average playwear with light buckle rash, dings and scratches. The headstock repair is only visible under a black light – – scroll down to see the black light pics. The Gibson Patent number pickups are original and they sound really nice. The neck is straight and the fretless wonder frets are original and in pretty nice condition. It has just been cleaned and detailed. The fingerboard was cleaned, buffed and moisturized with an instrument grade lemon oil. It was set up with 10/46’s, adjusted and plays very nicely. All the electronics were tested and cleaned and they work well. Please take a look at all the pictures- they accurately represent the cosmetic condition. Comes with the original looking vintage Gibson hardshell case with purple interior.
