Silvertone model 1448 guitar + original case with the built-in valve amp. Made in USA in the 60s. It is a 3/4 scale guitar, so its super light. It was just adjusted to play at a nice comfortable action. Frets and fretboard are like new, and the neck is super straight. The leather in the sides is in great condition, it will just need a good clean up. The body and neck are in amazing condition, just a couple of small bumps can be seen. All the hardware is original and working as it should. The case is in good shape, although the black leather is quite worn, lets remember its been around for 50/60 years. The amp works well and sounds quite nice and warm! It works with 110V, so I will include an European 220/240V transformer, and an UK adaptor. Marks and cosmetic details might be present if it’s classified as “used”, unless I state otherwise. I might not sell to new users, or if your qualifications are not good, thanks for understanding. The item will be carefully packed, and sent with a tracked and insured service. I aim to dispatch my items within 2 days (except during weekends), if it takes a bit longer than that I apologise. Here’s a ridiculously cool 1965 amp from Danelectro. This is a 25 watt, 12” speakered little gem. If you didn’t know, Danelectro is who made the amps for Silvertone and Airline back in the day, in their New Jersey factory. This amp is very similar to one of those. This one is in great condition for its age. I’ve had it refurbed for modern use with a 3 prong cord. The filter caps, electronics, speaker, and reverb tank are all original, and both the tremolo and reverb work beautifully. Has been gone over by tech. Here is a 1965 Silvertone model 1454 electric guitar, made in the USA. The serial # is 56697. This cool guitar is in very good condition for it’s age. It has some nicks , dings, and scratches. The neck is straight with good action. The frets show very little wear. All of the electronics work as they should. It has three DeArmond pickups made in Toledo, Oh. It has the factory Bigsby. This is a great bass. Has the original case, but has some corner braces on the corners. The bass has a changed tuner and knob. The guitar plays good. Both pick-ups are working but. A little buzzing was noticed. Cleaned the pots and most went away. Cool bass guitar, does have nice action. Could use a bit of adjustment at the wood bridge. For the highest frets.. Straight from the era of Marilyn Monroe comes this big curvy blonde! I’m leaning more toward’52, as this guitar has the “trident” fretboard inlays. Later models came with split rectangle inlay. It’s 17 1/4 wide. The sides are 3 1/2″ and the neck is 1 5/8″ wide at the nut. From the top of the bridge to the peak of the back, I’d guess it’s around 5 thick. She’s a BIG girl that’s built for comfort. Like many Silvertone/Kays from this era, the neck is clubby, but is surprisingly comfortable. It appears the neck has had a reset of some kind. There is a gap in the heel, but it’s been stable for the 20+ years I’ve owned this guitar. As far as I can tell, this is all original, except for the tuners. I don’t think this guitar originally came with split posts, but I could be wrong. Luckily this wasn’t bored out to accommodate Schallers or Grovers along the way. You can put new or vintage Klusons on there without a problem. But the scroll bridge, knobs, tailpiece and pickguard are right on, and it comes with a non-original, but very nice hard shell case. Yes, it has it’s share of dings and marks all over it, but it still looks better than Marilyn’s looked in years. Don’t be afraid to make a reasonable offer. But do it quickly as this guitar will also be listed on Reverb. Com and Los Angeles craigslist. Heres an Original 1965 Silvertone 1429 Thinline Archtop Hollow Body Electric Guitar. These were made by Harmony, are the same as the H-75, and have risen to the top of the “collectables” with their retro look and sound, and are considered to be one of the finest guitars that Harmony ever built. The sound of these DeArmonds are incredible! The pickups, switches, and controls are working properly, and have a very clean & crisp sound. The action is nice from one end of the fretboard to the other. The adjustable neck is straight, and the frets and fretboard are in good shape with lots of life left in them. The body, neck, and binding are solid, with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. Theres some checking in the finish, along with a few scuffs, scratches, and pick marks. I have tried to show as much as I could in the photos, please use the magnifier to view them in detail, as they are part of the description. This is vintage, and with all vintage guitars, the new owner will probably want to make adjustments and have it set up to meet their own needs and style of playing. This vintage 1950s Silvertone guitar sounds amazing! The serial number, 1039, is stamped in the next pocket and within the body as shown in the pictures. This dates its production as the 10 week of 1959. When not playing it, you can hang it on your wall for an awesome vintage look!
