Up for grabs is a very rare Fender Jaguar. Its one of only a handful from Fender Japan with blocks & binding. CIJ S-Serial from 2005-06. Its a beautiful looking guitar with three-tone sunburst over lightweight alder body with vintage red-tort 3-ply pickguard. Also some really nice maple graining all up and down the neck & over the headstock -pics! Really resonant too and feels great to play. Has a nicely streaked vintage 7.24 fingerboard. Check out the pics, this thing is stunning… Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications save for a custom FCGR neck plate, other than that all factory stock. In great condition with a deep shine. Few very, very light signs of being played. Its clearly been very well looked after. On top of that they have long since finished production in Japan, so this one will just go up in value. Complete with trem arm & gig bag. The case is not original those cases weren’t Madewell back then fell apart this is the case from the early 90s. Original pickguard is in the case as well as truss rod tool. It is not been refinished or restored I took pictures of all of the lacquer cracks. There has never been any damage to the guitar no physical repairs to neck or head stock. It does have dings and dents and scratches it was a player’s guitar. There is playing wear on the nech some light Buckle rash on the back although the back is in very good condition for the age there is some wear on the sides of the neck on The Binding it’s been played for decades. If you’re looking for a pristine barn find that someone had laying under their bed for 43 years this is not it this is guitar that’s been well played but well taken care of I’ve seen newer guitars in way worse condition. The fretboard and Frets are in really outstanding condition considering the age of the guitar. Ebony fretboard and really nice inlays. The guitar is heavy as heavy can be I haven’t waited but man oh man there’s no weight relief in that pancake body sure does create a crazy awesome tone. It is an early 1961 model Les Paul Custom serial #1 1064 with single cutaway body and carved arched top. Later in 1961 the body shape was changed to the double cutaway flat body “SG” shape, so this is one of the last ones of this style produced in Kalamazoo before the change in body styles. The guitar is in overall very good condition and shows no evidence of repair work or breaks. The black lacquer finish appears original and has lacquer checks, minor scuffs and dings typical of a guitar that has seen 57 years of use. The guitar conforms to the factory specifications in every way including a one piece carved top mahogany body, no wire tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, multiple bound top and back, single bound ebony fret board with small “fretless wonder” size frets and pearl block inlays, “Les Paul Custom” engraved on the truss rod cover, 5 piece split diamond pearl peg head inlay, reflector cap volume and tone knobs, and Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. All hardware is plated in gold that is significantly worn. All parts on the guitar appear original including the three Patent-Applied-For humbucking pickups with never opened covers. The tone caps are ceramic disc rather than the typical black tubular style that I have seen on guitars from this era, but they and the soldering that attaches them to the potentiometers appears original. The two potentiometers that were easily read have a date code for the forty third week of 1960. The plastic input jack plate, which appears original, has been cracked around the jack opening.
