Up for sale is this 1982 Kramer Voyager Imperial Guitar with a very rare factory custom ordered Rainbow finish. This is the only version of this finish that Ive ever seen that has the strip going around the side of the body in addition to the top of the body. This is a very early version of this custom ordered graphic as you can see all the colors as most all of the other guitars Ive seen with this custom ordered graphic usually only have three colors, (Red, Yellow, Green) This one has Red, Yellow, Green, & Blue. The Floyd Rose Tremolo Bridge was a Custom order option during 1982 and includes the original Schaller pickups and case. These custom ordered graphic and bridge options can be seen in the pricing and order sheet for Kramer from this time. As the eventually went the Floyd Rose Bridge as Standard equipment on all Kramer USA guitars. The bridge being a custom order option is noted from looking at the back of the body in the Tremolo cavity you can see the 6 screw holes for the standard bridge which was what all Kramer guitars came with. These are not visible from the front of the guitar as Im sure the Kramer factory filled them before building this guitar. These guitars were all hand made in the Kramer factory here in the USA long before they started to outsource the body and necks to many different companies and then sticking with ESP solely at one point. This guitar is all factory original except the volume and tone knob. This is a B Series serial number neck plate. This is the Beak headstock style neck and the original gold colored tuners as Kramer was notorious for using up the stock they had before using anything new. The gold tuners, Beak headstock, B serial neck plate all help to date this guitar to 1982. This is very early Floyd Rose Tremolo Bridge. This guitar is used and does show signs of being played through the years. There are a few chips, nicks, and dings which I have tried to capture in the pics provided. Most notable is at the edge of the back body horns and a chip in the clear finish on the headstock as seen in the pics. This guitar is in excellent shape for being almost 36 years old. These guitars with this factory custom ordered Rainbow finish are pretty rare and dont come up for sale very often as they are highly sought after and not many people even know they exist. This guitar will come with the original Kramer Hardshell case. The case is fully functional with all hinges working properly. The center latch is broken but the other two latches are operational. You will not be disappointed with this guitar. Please review all pics as they are part of the description. Cosmetically it has some oxidation on the brass rings around the pick-ups. The wood surfaces are immaculate, the neck is perfect and there are barely any scuffs even on the face (all pictured).
