This Boca guitar has turned into a semi-rare instrument. Early in production, Dean made 6-string model Bocas but left that world quickly and turned the model into a 12 string. This hard to find 6 string version that was only produced 2 years. From the really early production period, this guitar still has the original cat’s eye F-Holes as pictured. Basically a poor man’s ES-339, this Boca comes equipped with dual Dean Humbuckers, a semi hollow woody tone (great for blues), and a very cool gray metallic finish. Subtle in looks, snarls in tone. With their compact semi-hollow bodies, carved tops and sophisticated styling this guitar was genuinely State Of The Art. As a result of the extraordinary semi-hollow design and Dean humbucking pick-ups, the Dean achieves those hard to find rich, bluesy tones and harmonics artists are constantly searching for. This Dean Boca 6 String Semi Hollow Electric Guitar is a used item in excellent condition. There are no dings marks, or issues with this guitar with the exception of one small paint chip on the body edge of the body by the neck heel. You can see it in one of the pictures. This Korean made Beauty is in super shape and the Finish is sweet but most importantly, the Frets fretboard and neck are pristine and the dark rosewood fretboard also is sweet. The threat marker dots are done in Abalone instead of the usual Pearl which is a nice touch and the headstock also has a beautiful inlay. She’s a hollow body and the cat’s eye fholes are sweet. But the real story is the versatility of this particular instrument with the two humbuckers set up and a really nice semi hollow body tone. The guitar shows absolutely nominal play where save for a small scratch and a little bit of pixguff but she’s a nice one the bolt on neck is sweet but if you look at the wood grain on the back of this Korean neck it’s sweet as can be and the Grover tuners don’t hurt.
