The nut is also updated, but the original is included. Near mint condition with original case. Originally the Les Paul had a very thick and heavy body with a neck to match, delivering seemingly endless sustain. The Traditional model is reminiscent of the glory days of the Les Paul, it does not feature any weight relief chambers like most modern guitars such as the Les Paul Standard, while the neck retains a thick Late’50s neck profile. Equipped with the other modern appointments of the 2015 Gibson line-up, such as the zero fret nut and the G-Force tuning system, this Les Paul creates a fantastic balance between old and new. The 1959 Les Paul is the legend itself and so Gibson has created a pair of pickups that are as close to the original tone as possible. The’59 Tribute humbuckers of the 2015 Les Paul Traditional produce a distinctly warm sound with depth and clarity that can only be produced from top Alnico II magnets.
