1987 Gibson Les Paul Silverburst Custom Lite Guitar USA VERY RARE. This is the holy grail of silverbursts. You probably already know what this is if you’re viewing this sale. This guitar may be in used condition but there is no signs of aging to the finish or hardware. There are no hard visible scratches or dents on the front of the guitar you would disapprove of in a live environment. I’ve kept it in immaculate condition since the day I got it. Small nick by the serial though, not an issue. I have only used it in a clean smoke free studio environment. I bought it in the used condition it was already in, so view the pics, it’s meant to be played! The main reason for me getting this guitar back in 2006 from only one previous owner was that it was lightweight and shredding a solo comes with ease due to the thickness cut in half, it feels like a Gibson still and still retains that sustained thick Gibson tone. The back & sides of this guitar are contoured perfectly almost like an Ibanez, and looks better than the modern/reissues because it has no white binding on the back of the guitar, everything looks smooth & proportionately pleasing to the eye as a guitar relic should! It really does have a perfect burst paint job throughout the entire guitar cant stress that enough. Maple top, Mahogany back. Chrome hardware, ebony looking 22 fret rosewood fingerboard. Grover chrome tuning hardware. 3 way Treble, Middle, Rhythm toggle switch. Features a 2 way mini switch which behaves as 5db hot boost and is preferred to have it engaged. It’s balanced, & comes with Schaller Guitar Straplocks (Nickel) already screwed in & attached, supplied also with the original strap nut’s & screws. Comes with its original good condition used brown vintage Gibson Les Paul USA guitar case (bright pink velvet cushioning) along with the guitar’s original serial number factory checklist pamphlet. Standard Les Pauls throughout the history have been known as heavy axes and a portion of potential players have been turned off by it`s weight. Fat and solid mahogany bodies can really burden the shoulders. Over the course of time, Gibson found the way to ease this burden a bit without compromising the tone. Recent development and improvements have brought the weight relief bodies to the scene, but with Les Paul Custom Lite comes the revolution. It features the modern-contoured LP body with weight relief and considerably thinner mahogany back. Top wood cover is made of traditional plain maple. Glossy Ebony paint is matched with white binding and elegant chrome or gold-plated hardware. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the vintage’50s rounded contour in the back. On it`s top, Gibson installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Fingerboard is bound in white and marked with acrylic block inlays. 498T bridge humbucker is paired with 490R in the neck. They have separate volume knobs and joint tone knob. Instead of the second tone knob, Gibson installs a mini-switch. It is a two-position switch which splits the humbuckers into single-coil pickups.
