Vintage 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior refinished by Marty Bell in a deep green sparkle. This eye-popping sparkle finish is a pro-job all the way. The pickguard, tuners, bridge and knobs are repros. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and original frets in fair playable condition. Action is low and there are no dead spots. When Gibson made these guitars in the 50’s, the original fret wire was rather flat and low to begin with, then take into account this has been played for 60 years. It does not need a refret, but it’s not perfect. In summary, frets are original and in fair condition. It’s a real 1958. Custom shop doesn’t shape the necks right. It’s thick but very manageable at the nut and then it does this boat bottom thing at the 8-9 fret that feels great. The tuning stability is uncanny on this Jr. The paint job is a deep 3d. Rock and Roll machine. That p90 is the rock sound gentlemen. Can’t fake it. Vintage Gibson case, not original to the guitar. I think this case was for a 335 as you can see a small rise in the top of the case. It is functional and very vibey. I don’t want to sell this guitar, but I have two albums I want to finish more than I want to keep this guitar. Depressing when the point of making albums is to acquire guitars.
