Guitar has plenty of normal vintage playwear for a 38 year old guitar with numerous dings, scratches, swirls and some clouding in finish. Gibson gold hardware, tuners and pickups. There is some worming and some typical buckle rash on back of body. There are two areas about 2 thru both bottom knobs area that were touched up with a similar black paint, but it’s hard to see touch-ups around knobs in pictures , but I need to mention so there is no surprises when it arrives. Only cosmetic however, and does not affect playability in any way. With that being said this is by no means a minty guitar, but it is a really nice player’s guitar that has been well cared for and never abused. Guitar has a nice clean top of it’s headstock too. Guitar weighs 10.8 on a digital scale. Guitar was made at the Nashville plant April 21st in 1978 -it’s production number 45. No breaks or repairs with a straight neck and an absolutely beautiful Ebony fingerboard with no issues and no buzzing up and down the neck. I have provided you with lots of picts to inspect for cosmetic condition yourself. Gibson’s Monster Les Paul sound with amazing sustain for days and days! Amazing tone and great vintage look and vibe too! If you are a guitar pro and play on stage or you record in the studio , this is the monster for you! If your a beginner , hell this is the one to have too-you will sound better alot faster with this killer axe. Guitar has been recently detailed with a hi-grade carnuba wax. Guitar has also just had a pro set-up and a brand new Gibson gold factory tailpiece was added by my guitar tech because the old one needed replacing for a better sound sonically overall. Guitar was recently equipped with a fresh new set of Gibson Historic 10’s so she is ready to “Rock” any stage and set it on fire! Knobs are newer Gibson Black Speed Knobs. Toggle switch tip may also be a newer tip. Can’t tell, maybe vintage-not sure. One of the pots was replaced a long time ago in 1986 (30 yrs ago) but sounds absolutely fantastic on every level. All electronics perform beautifully and guitar sounds absolutely amazing. Magical comes to mind! Case is in decent o. Shape with a handle that has come undone on one one side of it check pict.
