Beautiful aged cream Squier Stratocaster with all original parts except the pickups, which are from a Mexican strat. The paint has taken on a lovely aged patina and shows plenty of’history’ and would make a great base guitar for a relic project. The guitar was set up professionally about 6 months ago by KGB in Birkenhead and has a nice low action. None of that nasty maple neck nonsense and fret wear is practically non-existent! All told the neck is in great condition both sides. Some minor surface cracking of the paint which is cosmetic only around the neck pocket.. No cracking through to the wood. Regarding the serial number, I have had a bit of trouble tracking down the exact year and factory because the’M’ doesnt line up with either the Samick (S) or Cort (CN) factory, but apparently these were made during a time of factory relocation. Which have resulted in a short term new designation before they could begin production at the new factory. All told, an extremely desireable guitar from a quality factory which has aged beautifully and had been well looked after.
