1960 custom shop Strat First Year guitar- 1999. By now it looks like a real 1960 Strat. 3 color sunburst, rosewood slab fretboard with figured maple neck. Original pickups with the’modern’ 5 way switch wiring, new CTS pots with’no-load’ tone controls to eek out more a bit more treble and’quack’ from the the 5 way. Also fully shielded pick guard and body for a bit less noise. Small bald spots on either side of headstock, from from a guitar hanger, etc but blends in anyway with the weather-checked finish and hardware. No repairs, no fret wear (see pics), no worries. Approx 8 pounds, original brown case in good condition. Nicer than the later custom shop re-issues, and by now the pickups have aged enough to sound right. Note that it’s a 2010 , – not even close to this first year 1999 Guitar. Seems like maybe 100-200 over the price for a typical 1960. Per my letter from Fender above. I got the guitar years ago without the COA / certificate. The section above starting with (“Based on the serial number provided”) is a letter from Fender, and confirms all the details of this guitar.
