Fender – 1964 Stratocaster This’64 pre-CBS Strat has been through some serious life! Playability-wise, it’s glorious! Clean pots, great intonation, smooth and clean sound. This guitar does not have its original finish, but is an old, and very authentic-looking Sonic Blue recreation. It has a serious Beatles Nowhere Man/ And Your Bird Can Sing sound and look. John and George both had matching Sonic Blue Strats. George’s famous Rocky Strat started out as Sonic Blue. There are other mods done to this guitar that are associated with refinishing, such as some re-soldering. It has also been re-fretted. Everything else is original, save for the missing back plate and one string tree. Great vibe, tone, and history at a fraction of the price of 64 Sonic Blue Strat with original paint.
