D’Angelico Vestax New Yorker NYDC Limited Edition 2003 Semi Hollow Thinline Archtop. This is a rare and highly sought after, 2003 Japan-made Vestax NY-DC Limited Edition. Not to be confused with the much lower quality Korean-made D’Angelicos currently being produced, the Vestax era went out of D’Angelico production in 2005. Because they were hadncrafted, only a limited number were produced each year, and this Limited Edition even rarer. These Vestax editions are owned and played by Kurt Rosenwinkel and Russell Malone. It is an exquisite guitar, a work of art with the highest quality bespoke craftsmanship by master Japanese luthier, Hidesato Shiino, and with the warmest, creamiest tones and rings sustain, it is the most comfortable guitar I’ve ever played. In fact it is the best guitar I’ve ever played, and I’ve been playing for 30 years. Some have called it the Holy Grail of Archtops and I would agree. Sadly I don’t have time to play anymore and this angel really deserves for someone to love her. In great playing condition, it has been loved and played so a few scratches and a ding on the neck and scratches on the headstock (as per photos) but otherwise pretty good for a 15 year old guitar. Much more than a 335, I used it for country, blues, classic rock and stoner rock and sounded sublime for every purpose. One of those guitars you can really have a lot of fun with the tone pots. PLEASE DO NOT MISTAKE THIS VESTAX FOR THAT VERSION. The item “D’Angelico Vestax New Yorker NYDC Limited Edition 2003 Archtop Guitar” is in sale since Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
