Let’s talk about the obvious elephant in the room first. Yes, sometime in the 80’s it had been cut for a Kahler tremolo. Hey, it was the 80’s we all did stupid. Professionally cut, but still, it’s there. There are 4 options to fix this. 1 I spoke with Dan Erlewine’s shop about a fill and finish touch up. Simply bolt it on, and whammy the night away. Even the headstock has the screw holes already drilled. Have your Significant Other’s name engraved, a design, whatever A few dollars extra. And claim it’s meant for them. 4 Leave it alone like I did for the last 10 years. Now back to our regularly scheduled program… Has the original pickups, tuners, electronics, and frets. The only replaced parts are the Truss Rod cover original cut in half one in the case. The bridge was replaced with a Graphtech String Saver, strap locks added and included, and the pickguard. As you see, it still has the fret nibs, and that wonderful players patina on the neck. It’s 37 years old and was NEVER a case queen! It paid for rent, mortgage, alimony, and put food on the table. It’s a working man’s player! No breaks, no repairs, just can use a new set of 10’s, a little cleaning, and off you go! The case is NONE ORIGINAL. Yes the case shows some wear and tear, but it’s a case, that’s what it is meant for, right? Any questions, feel free to ask. Please pay within 24 hours of winning. And no, 130 miles from me, and 5 from you is NOT halfway! The item “1981 Les Paul Custom Silverburst” is in sale since Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
