Here’s a 2006 Gibson Les Paul R0 that is from a run of guitars made for Guitar Center. I bought it from Guitar Center in Fountain Valley CA several years ago. It comes with the brown Gibson hard shell case. It is in very good condition with a few light scratches on the back and a couple on the top as well. The frets look new as I don’t do a lot of string bending. The neck is straight and there are no issues with this guitar. I have a pair of Sheptone Tribute pickups in the guitar now and have the original ones boxed up. I’m planning on pulling them out and putting the original pickups back in for the new owner. If you would like to have the Sheptones in the guitar and the original pickups sent along, let me know. The top has some light figuring so it’s not a complete “plain top”. The neck thickness is slightly thinner than a’59 Historic but not as thin as most of the R0 guitars. The neck has some light flame on the back and the fingerboard is very dark. I have had about a dozen’58 and’59 Historics and have not seen flame on the back or a fingerboard this dark. This is the last one I currently own and I have used it mainly for recording. Who can’t relate to that? Sonically the guitar is beefy yet bright and lively. Part of this is due to the pickups and the fact that the guitar is lightweight. I have an original 50’s gold top and the tone coming from this guitar hangs with it. It’s also a little lighter than the gold top. If someone is interested I’ll get the exact weight on a digital scale. I weighed it a few years ago and I recall it being 8 lbs. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
