This guitar is particulary unique based on the custom appointments. Non-Black’56s didn’t come with with the custom appointments like ebony fretboard, MOP Block inlays, and 5 ply binding. It plays much better as a result of these features. Guitar weights in at 9.0 lbs. It comes with gold hardware and soapbar pickups, and Grover Tuners. It goes without saying on Gibson Custom Shop’s that it has incredible tone. It is a little bit thicker in tone than most Gibson Shop Custom’s I have had in the past. It is an incredibly fast player too. It has the medium C-style neck profile – not baseball bat, but not slim-taper either. Unfortunately I do not have the Custom Shop Certificate.
