Gibson Les Paul Spotlight Special 1983 ASB Burst 1st 1959 Reissue! Featured in the 2,000 Guitars Book to tell the story of Gibson Guitars! You are looking at an amazing & rare 1983 Gibson Spotlight Special Les Paul. This is a very special guitar one of the first guitars made in the Nashville Custom Shop after Gibson moved from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Another unique feature of the Spotlight Special is the wood used to make this guitar came from the Kalamazoo inventory. This guitar has tone for days out of it’s lightweight mahogany body combined with highly desired Tim Shaw PAFs. The pictures will show that this guitar is a players guitar and has some wear. The gold hardware retains most of it’s warm glow on most areas. There are a few dings that didn’t come through on the photographs, I can try to send additional photos upon request. The back has some belt buckle wear but nothing through the finish. The neck has areas worn through the finish to the wood. There are two holes where at one time a former owner added a pickguard to the guitar which is visable in the pictures. Comes with the original Gibson Hard Shell’Chainsaw’ Case with Blue interior. The Spotlight Special is one of the most collected Les Paul editions out there and therefore is extremely Rare to find one available for sale. You will not be dissapointed, it screams through the amp like no other guitar I’ve ever owned! Weight: 9 lbs 2 oz.
