As you can see this is in stunning vintage condition — it’s all original and the cosmetic condition is pretty amazing with very little checking and minimal dings, dents and worming–some tarnishing on the t-tops but otherwise it presents very well. The neck is clean–the binding is good and the pickups are as everyone knows really wonderful PAFs–the t-tops from the early Norlin years likely left over from the late 60s–whatever the case the sound is classic. The case is original and okay inside and outside given its age–there is one tolex tear shown in the scans as well as lesser wear but inside it does the job. The neck angle is just right and the action is perfect for my preferences as my luthier just did a complete set up and pre-sale inspection that includes new strings as well as a fretboard oil a clean and polish and intonation–truss rod works and has life on it and the tuners stay in tune. I got the date of the Gibson dater project which says 1970–72–my luthier believes it’s a 70 for various technical reasons and i’m thinking he’s probably right but serial numbers from Gibson are really puzzling as most people know–you can see the number on one of the scans and check it out if you prefer to do your own due diligence.
