I just bought this guitar in April, and have fallen in love with it. I do wish I could keep it forever. I have no doubts in 5 years it will be worth more than it is today, and so forth for every 5 years after. This guitar is nearly 50 years old, but comes with its original case. The body shows natural signs of wear and rub. The body is in overall good condition for its age. There are some chips and dings as pictured. The neck is worn a bit thin from age and playing, but this is a preference most guitar players prefer. Overall it’s in proper condition for its age, and is a very rare piece of guitar history. Several people have asked for some specifics so I’m going to do my best to post a general update below. I do not have a digital scale so I’m doing my best to approximate on my mechanical scale. From zero, the mechanical scale reads between 8-9 lbs. I would assume there is +/- 1 or 2 lbs of accuracy here. I wish I had a more accurate scale. I can only compare to my other guitars and say it feels about the same to me. Modifications / Confirmation of Originality? The strings of course have been replaced through time. There were no mentions of modifications. The guitar works as expected. Have not experienced pick-up dropoff or volume fallout of any kind. There are additional pictures on Reverb. Doing my best to represent this instrument honestly and openly. The item “1973 Fender Telecaster Custom Shop Mocha withFactory Fender Bigsby & OHSC” is in sale since Thursday, October 22, 2020.
