This gorgeous 6120 was just recently acquired as part of a collection of vintage Gretsches & has been professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it’s ready to play straight out of the case! Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with signs of typical play wear for its age – various nicks, chips, dents & dings, scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The neck needed to be professionally reset which was expertly completed by our own master luthier & plays like a dream! Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina. Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & red side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl thumbnail inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Gretsch & Horseshoe inlays. Unoriginal Schaller tuners stamped made in W. 1 11/16″ nut width; 24 3/4″ scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions fine. Body: Single cutaway, hollow maple body with some pretty birdseye figuring in the back & light flaming in the rims. Bound top & back with bound F-holes. Gretsch Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Rocking Bar bridge. Gold plexi pickguard with Chet Atkins “signpost” logo. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 4.9 oz. Electronics: Gretsch FilterTron humbuckers with gold bezels. The switches have been flipped “Setzer” style. All electronics are in good working condition.
