Squier 40th Anniversary Gold Edition Stratocaster Electric Guitar, Lake Placid B. The first instruments to bear the Squier name were introduced in 1982, answering the call for genuine Fender designs at accessible prices. This is a beautiful guitar, very unique color from Fender. It has a straight neck, low action and a classic strat tone. The bound neck is obviously rare in the Stratocaster kingdom and it feels deluxe. This one was deemed a b-stock guitar due to a small extra bubble of paint between the two bouts on the top of the body. There are also two very light scratches near the bubble, they are short, just a few millimeters and hard to see. These flaws can be seen in some lights and the paint bump can be felt. It is not hollow, you can press down on it and it feels solid, so it’s an extra drop of paint that ended up over the finish. The Squier 40th Anniversary collection celebrates the 40-year journey of Fender’s entry-level brand with special editions of the Telecaster, Stratocaster, Jazzmaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass, all available in Gold Edition and Vintage Edition variants. The Squier 40th Anniversary Stratocaster, Gold Edition is a stylish model adorned with an eye-catching collection of upscale features for the discerning Squier fanatic. Featuring striking gold-plated hardware, a gold anodized aluminum pickguard, a bound Indian laurel fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, an engraved anniversary neck plate and gloss finish throughout, this Strat is poised and ready for the spotlight.
