PARKER MidiFly Midi Electric Guitar Di Marzio Fishman Piezo Hard Case 1999 USA Revised description – p. This guitar was made in the USA circa 1999 & I bought it in 2009. It is built to the usual exemplary Parker standards, see full spec below. The guitar has a low action & plays very easily with a fast neck & most guitar sounds are possible with the different switching configurations. These guitars are now rare as they were a limited run & the superior quality USA Parkers are sought after as it now looks like the company will be moving manufacture outside of the USA. The MIDI facility has been tested. The guitar was connected to a PC & it was possible to play virtual synth sounds but with limitations. Ounds are made from all strings but there is no fast reliable tracking. Notes stutter & miss occasionally, also the levels of notes are not consistent. Software was opened on a PC (used to set the MIDI parameters) the program did not recognize the connected guitar. Conclusion is the midi facility does not function correctly & will need some work to repair it. However, the guitar magnetic pickups work perfectly OK & other functions of the guitar work as as they should. THE PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED AS THE MIDI FACILITY DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY & WILL NEED TO BE REPAIRED. Condition: physically the guitar has several chips & dents in the finish, however these are mostly on the top & bottom edges & the back edge (by the sockets) & so are not seen in normal use. The exception is 3 small chips to the front lower left (behind/below bridge) & marks which have been touched up in the curve between the top horn. Please see the photos which show the the majority of these, the guitar was like this when I bought it & it does not effect the tone!
