Up for sale is my 2000 Les Paul Standard Doublecut with an amazing transparent amber top. It is lightweight (about 7.75lbs), in great shape, and has been a case queen since I acquired her about 6-7 years ago. This guitar did not receive much play time before it came to me, and basically zero playing time since I acquired it. The frets and fretboard are 95%+. There are surprisingly few nicks and dings on the body, neck, and headstock, although there are 6 or 7 small finish dents that don’t show up in pictures. They do not go through to the wood. One cosmetic issue is that the “Gibson” logo is separating a bit from the clear finish above it, which is a common aging issue with Gibsons from this period. I replaced the hardware with new chrome Grover kidney bean tuners (reused the original headstock mounting holes – no new holes drilled), a lightweight aluminum tailpiece, an upgraded chrome bridge from TonePros, and… Incredible Lindy Fralin P-92’s with chrome covers. These pickups are incredibly versatile, clear, and crisp, and also do well with some overdrive. Weight: 7.75lbs. Neck: Feels like a 50’s neck, but definitely not a baseball bat. Pickups: Lindy Fralin P-92’s. Tuners: Chrome Grover kidney bean. Original Gibson hard shell case with the obnoxious pink interior. Case is in fair shape. The handle is set to fail soon. Hardware is functioning and show age. It did its job – it protected the guitar. Original hardware, minus the pickups, which honestly were hot garbage. I think they were those dumb ceramic 496R sonic monstrosities. So don’t pay me right away. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking at my listing.
