Gorgeous 1982 Gibson ES-335 Blonde Dot Neck 59 Reissue. Unreal 3D Wavy Flame Maple. Tim Shaw Era Pickups. Ok, what we have here is a literal closet classic from my personal collection. I hunted this baby down and bought it 23 years ago, played for about ten minutes since then (no joke) and its been stored in my guitar closet with the rest of my guitars ever since. As we guys know, the thrill is in the hunt, once we have our prize, its onto the next one. This is an 1982 Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 Blonde Dot Neck 59 Reissue from the first series in the 80s. It features 3D Wavy Flame Maple on the top and back not on the sides. The fretboard has the darkest, richest looking rosewood Ive ever seen on a guitar made in the 1980s, I wouldnt be surprised if they used leftover Brazilian. Fret wear is zero as far as I could tell. BTW, the pickups are PAFs from the famous Tim Shaw era. The guitar has been thoroughly cleaned, the fretboard oiled, frets polished, and restrung with DAddario 10s. I tested it and cleaned the output jack. That works for me because thats where I keep my tone controls. The condition is otherwise excellent!
