For sale is this beautiful and incredible sounding 2007 Les Paul Custom Shop Historical Vintage Original Specification Re-issue of the 1959 Les Paul Standard in Aged Vintage Cherry Sunburst. This awesome R9 is 9.2 lbs of blooming vintage tone to match the exquisite maple flame. Have spider web swirls on the surface. And very few light ding marks on the surface, but no buckle rash, gauges, mars, or chips. One noticeable wear is on the shoulder of the guitar; the binding has a couple minor cracks from age. I have attepted to capture the cosmetic condition in the photos to accuratley represent this guitar. The neck and frets are in great condition with plenty of life remaining for years of playing enjoyment. There is minimal wear on the frets and I have only used this guitar for home recording in a smoke free environment; never gigged. The only non-original part on this guitar are the pickups: Throbak SLE-101 MXV Limited NOS Wire PAF Humbuckers; limited production ended in 2011. I encourage you to go to YouTube to the Doug and Pat Show Humbucking Shootout 7 to hear the character of these humbuckers. There are fresh Gibson Vintage Reissue Pure Nickel Wound strings on the guitar (10-13-17-26-36-46). I have played the guitar just long enough to set the strings. I have rechecked the intonation for accuracy. I have kept this guitar. In the Gibson case laying flat when not in use. Gibson’s VOS – Vintage Original Spec line. The terms VOS, historic, reissue & historic reissue all refer to the same guitar. There is only one difference, VOS refers to the aged finish on the top and hardware. Thin toggle switch washer and jackplate. ABR-1 bridge and stopbar tailpiece. 1-piece mahogany neck with long tenon. 22-fret rosewood finger board. Acrylic trapezoid inlays (accurate shape & color). 1959 rounded neck profile. Throbak SLE-101 MXV LTD PAF Humbuckers. CTS pots and bumblebee capacitors. 2 volume, 2 tone, 3-way selector.
