This is a VINTAGE 1968 FENDER STRATOCASTER SUNBURST-4 BOLT NECK-PAT. The neck is marked with the patent numbers and Fender Stratocaster with Synchronized Tremolo. Original Contour Body Patented. It does show signs of age and wear. It comes with original case which also shows signs of age and wear. I have received the following message. The neck plate holding the neck is missing, therefore it’s not 100% certain that its from 1968 specifically, could be 68-69-70 even. The reason that I listed it as a 1968 is because I found the following information on the internet when I was researching.. Black Fender peghead with 2 patent numbers 2,741,146 & 3,143,028. “F” style turning gears replaces “kluson-Deluxe” gears. Polyester thick finish replaces niotrocellulose lacquer.
