2015 Gibson Les Paul 1959 Reissue. Tobacco Sunburst, Weight 8.6 Lbs. I picked this guitar from a group of 12 instruments that included 1958, 1959 and Collectors choice reissues. I went in wanting the best sounding guitar of the bunch, didn’t really care if it was a collectors choice, 58 or 59. We took our time and played everyone in the group and this guitar came out on top. It is a great sounding Les Paul, well balanced tone, great sustain, nice weight (not to heavy or light). VOS specs which include red aniline dye (neck bindings have turned red like the originals) long neck tenon etc. The instrument has few playing hours.
