Gibson Historic Les Paul Standard 1958 Re-issue, R8. Beautiful Gibson Les Paul. You can tell when you play it unplugged that it has tone. This guitar is in very good condition. There is a small mark on the top of the headstock that you can see in the photos. There is also a small mark near the cavity plate cover that looks like it happened when someone tried to pry it open. It’s pretty small, but you can see it. It doesn’t show up in the photos. The pickups have a bit of tarnish on them. Other than that, a few minor marks here and there that are not large enough to capture on my camera and in my opinion don’t affect the appearance in any way. The case is in good shape, but there is a tear in the handle. It weighs 8.9 pounds. I’ve only used it in the living room. No gigs or jam sessions. If you’re not happy for any reason you may return it to me. I hate to sell it and someone is going to be very happy. I wish I didn’t have to sell it, but I do. I’m keeping the strat that you can see in the video. This guitar was recently set up by St. The did a fret dress. I have it set up similar to the Gibson factory recommendations but slightly higher action. Set with 10’s. I’m not exactly sure if this is a VOS. If I understand it correctly, the VOS finish is where they apply a chemical to make the guitar look as if it was aged. I believe that this guitar is a Gloss Finish.
