Here we have a killer 100% ORIGINAL 1968 GIBSON ES-335 TD with a factory BIGSBY and CHERRY finish. It also comes with some ORIGINAL CASE CANDY , including a box of Gibson picks, as well as a BROCHURE and PRICE LIST from June 1968! This guitar has FANTASTIC TONE! The original patent number pickups sound amazing through my 66 Princeton Reverb as well as my Swart Spacetone. The neck is in amazing shape for a guitar of this age. It plays smooth and fast and has very little wear. The truss rod works perfectly and the neck is straight with ridiculously low action. THIS GUITAR IS A DREAM TO PLAY. It’s also nice and light – about 8.5 pounds – and is incredibly resonant. Overall this guitar is a solid 8.5/10 with no repairs or issues of any kind. The finish has some weather checking and the binding has yellowed as is typical of a vintage guitar. It also has a very slight buzz on the second fret, high E which is probably due to the fact that I have it set up with 10’s and have the action set crazy low. This guitar is a real find and is perfect for the player/collector. Please take a close look at the pictures to get a better understanding of the SUPERB CONDITION of this 1968 ES-335. Also, please note that although some reference lists place this serial number as being manufactured in 1969, this guitar is 100% 1968 as indicated by the one piece neck and the dot over the “i” in Gibson as well as the date on the volume and tone pots.
