Telecaster Classic Vibe 50s Squier – A Beauty. This is my beloved Squier – 50s – classic vibe tele which i used as my main guitar for a long while, its been all over the UK and Europe and served me so well. It sounds excellent and holds up against fenders all day long i worked in a guitar shop for a decade and i’ve played thousands! And looks the part as well. Condition wise you can see it has some actual’road worn’ areas, for me gives it character but if you’re someone that religiously polishes their guitars and keeps them pristine, besides being a weirdo, this guitar isn’t for you! Though besides the wear along the base its fine and has been in a hard case its whole life. It also has different Vol/Tone Knobs which are very cheap to replace if you’re bothered by that! Squier have kitted the Tele out with cool retro features aligned with the hardware, woods and specs used to build the first Fender guitars. Telecasters have always had an old school feel, but the Classic Vibe takes things to the next level. The black pickguard, ashtray bridge and plenty more pay homage to the 50s design. As youd expect from a classically styled guitar, the Squier Tele opts for a Pine body with comfortable Maple neck and tall narrow frets. Theres nothing better than a guitar that feels familiar as soon as its in your hands. This is where the Squier comes into its own. This Tele is equipped with Fender designed single coil pickups, pushing a low output smooth tone. It has plenty of grit when you crank the gain and a naturally nasal, twangy tone. Whats a 50s Tele without an ashtray bridge? The three-saddle construction is a true vintage appointment. As its a squier it would have had generic saddles initially so quality-wise what is on there now will be equivalent or better. In’my opinion’ 3 saddles are rubbish but if you’re after that specifically then this won’t be the guitar for you!
