1985 Ibanez PR1660 Pro Line Series V Electric Guitar Owned Paul Gilbert #33095
1985 Ibanez PR1660 Pro Line Series V Electric Guitar Owned Paul Gilbert #33095. FUNCTION: Pro Line Series V Electric Guitar. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a 1985 Ibanez PR1660 Pro Line Series V electric guitar in Pearl White finish owned by Paul Gilbert. This guitar is featured on all the photos on Pauls I Can Destroy CD back cover and booklet. An awesome 80s metal guitar with some nice history! A certificate of authenticity can be included upon request. Nut Width: 1 5/8. Scale Length: 25.5. General Neck Shape: Thin C (0.82). Other: Pro Rock’R tremolo bridge, TOPLOK locking nut. ACCESSORIES INCLUDED: This item comes as seen in photos, and includes only the following accessories. Bag including whammy bar, [1] strap button, and a spring for the tremolo system. Signed issue of Guitar Player Magazine. Signed CD copy of Paul Gilbert’s 2016 solo album. Bag of custom Paul Gilbert guitar picks and cosmetic press pass. PHYSICAL CONDITION: Good- This striking guitar is in sturdy physical shape, showing a delicate touch of cosmetic aging while having that just-right feel of a well-made guitar from the 80s that’s both familiar and still as exciting as when it was new. The gorgeous finish has turned a unique goldish color over time, and is still a looker underneath an assortment of minor scratches and dents. Further light scratching can be found up and down the body, while some chips in the paint can be seen along the angular edges of this guitar. Fantastic shape overall, the main note to be aware of is that the upper section of the TOPLOK locking nut is missing, so this feature does not currently operate as originally designed. Also, both strap buttons have been removed, making this guitar currently keen for seated playing only. Brilliant guitar all in all! WORKING CONDITION: Good – A well-loved, well-played axe of a renown shredder, this Series V is a remarkable instrument from a speedster on the strings. Both the volume and tone controls work perfectly, as does the 3-way toggle switch. Tremolo bridge system works terrific making fine-tuning a breeze. Both pickups work perfectly and sound fantastic! This guitar does need some fretwork, however. The 5th fret buzzes across all strings, while many spots (especially past the 12th fret) buzz on at least a couple strings. In the right hands, this guitar could easily be restored to its full potential by a qualified luthier. UNPACKAGED WEIGHT: 19 lbs. UNPACKAGED DIMENSIONS: 48.25″ x 4″ x 19.75. We strongly suggest that you check your order after receiving it to be sure that it is in proper working order. NOT WORKING FOR PARTS AS-IS. Without having to curb your enthusiasm of basking in the glow of your new piece of gear, think in terms of preserving it in its mint condition until certain you are keeping it. For instance, if it were rack gear, we would recommend avoiding racking it until you were certain it was a “keeper”. Thus preventing any possible “rack rash” or scratches. If it were a guitar pedal, avoid sticking Velcro on it and mounting to your pedal board until it passed your test to be knighted and sit at your round table of pedals. Although tempting to have both of your favorite things together, put down the chicken wings slathered in barbecue sauce that is dripping all over your leather vest and beard and be sure your hands are clean and dry before trying out your awesome new gear. Pet odors, cigarette and other smoke items can also affect the “newness” of your gear. Also, keep the gear away from your friend with the Billy Ray Cyrus mullet driving the Camaro. He’s a good guy and he means well, but years of smoke tar and beer bongs have dulled his perceptions. Incorrect voltage, self-repair, exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture damage, or incorrect application, etc. Earphones, microphones or other items that have intimate mouth, face or body contact. Software, computer hardware, computer drives and other digital or media tape. Items that are special orders, discontinued, or closeouts, are all non-returnable. HOW TO RETURN YOUR ITEM.
