Realky wonderful playing G&L ASAT from the early years–all original with original case also in excellent condition. It’s very hard to date these so the best i can come up with is 1988–1990 even though the serial number on the neck plate indicates 1992–inside the neck date is April 17th but the year is illegible–it appears best to be 1988 or 1989–the curves of the 8 and the 9 at the top are about all that remains and they are nearly interchangeabe–there is also a red 2 inside the pocket–that is clear–the black hardwear and powder black pockguard were essentially replaced by chrome or nickel around 1990 from the G&L site info–most in fact by 1988 so this one likely falls somewhere in those years. At any rate it’s a beauty that plays like a dream and is freshly luthiered and set up and strung with d’darrio 10/46s and ready to go.
